With its convenient position on the river, the campground creates a recreation hub for fishing, tubing, kayaking and swimming. Lake Sherwood Recreation Area is a complete family destination offering a wide variety of activities and camping options. Standard, tent-only and group camping facilities are perched along Lake Sherwood, the largest lake in the Monongahela National Forest. There’s plenty of room to roam at this 4,050-acre park. Satellite TV and cell phone reception are available at most of the sites, and there are clean bathhouses with toilets and showers for campers to utilize. Tygart Lake State Park’s campground has 36 camping sites.
Mountain Lakes
Seneca Shadows is a modern campground with flush toilets, lantern posts, picnic tables and campfire rings. The large facility has a selection of walk-to tent sites, standard RV sites and tent-only group sites. Double C Horse and Rider Campground is perfect for those traveling with horses to go trail riding. This separate campground offers two to four horse occupancy sites.
The campsite itself has convenient amenities such as an ATV wash rack, clean showers and restrooms, and even a general store. Fishing Bridge RV Park is the only campground in Yellowstone with full hookups specifically designed for RV campers. This campground has a total of 78 sites, all with electric, water, and sewer hookups. Fishing Bridge RV Park is located near the Yellowstone River, making it the perfect spot for fishing enthusiasts. Full hookup campgrounds provide a great opportunity to experience the outdoors while still having access to all the services and amenities you need.
